PL - Final League Table and Results of PL Dash.

Please check for errors and omissions. Remember, as a Leeds fan, I'm barely human and the stresses and strains of both literally and figuratively using my cranium to enter your incredibly well-considered scores isn't always as accurate as it might be. Oh, and it hurts too.

The sole draw between Blackburn and WBA meant "Strike 1" posters scored three, "Strike 2" posters two, and "Strike 3" posters one for the week. "Dormant" posters scored zero.

HullWhites (Leeds) joined for this, the last round of the 2008/9 season: hopefully we'll see you and everyone else back for the start of the 2009/10 campaign.

Since the destiny of the PL league trophy had been mathematically decided last week, the real interest was to find out who would win the one-week-only PL Dash competition. There were ten fixtures with sixty possible points at stake, but the final week of the Premier League season doesn't always turn out how you might expect or, in some cases, hope.

In the end, Fenwhite (Leeds) proved that he is as good a sprinter as a marathon runner, collecting 39 points without making a single mistake in terms of picking the outcomes of ALL ten matches. These included the exact scorelines at Scumchester City, West Ham and Wigan. I'm sure you'll all agree this was no mean feat and the East Anglian bookmakers must be quaking in their boots every time Fen goes past their doors! Fen is the outright winner of the PL Dash competition. Cool

Not so very far behind Fen on thirty-three points was Vicky27 (Derby). Vicky only missed out at Ewood Park and The City of Scumchester Stadium and picked the exact scorelines at Fulham, Liverpool and Wigan. It's a pity there's nowt for coming second, but The Vickster has the local bragging rights on the Derby Mad board for the summer at least. Very Happy

In case you haven't worked it out already, Fenwhite is the double champion for 2008/9 and his two trophies and a cheque (as promised - you did win the double!) will be winging its way to Fen very shortly. Cool
